I described my issue in gbatemp.net/threads/release-xenoblade-chronicles-3d-save-utility.420078/page-6#post-8074379, but will try again here for a broader audience.
Last time I played Xenoblade Chronicles, I was leaving Bionis' Interior and getting in Makna Forest.
There was a system save at that point, so I just saved and quit the game.
The next time I tried to load that save, the black loading screen with the monado icon on the lower right screen stays there loading forever, with the music playing.
This makes me think that, perhaps, the save doesn't like Makna Forest (even though I've been able to load other saves on Makna Forest).
So now I've been trying to change the map in my save, to try and get the save to load.
However, changing the code in the hex doesn't work, because it messes up the checksum.
I've searched everywhere on the internet and couldn't find anyone reporting this issue.
Any suggestions for how to change the map in the save?
Or even how to debug what might be going wrong here?
Thanks a lot
