Dear people from Gbatemp,

As the title says i want to change my wii to another region. Reason i want to do this becouse i dont have an internet connection to play online. System settings are saying im currently running on version 4.3U. Im living in the Netherlands and so i cannot use any disks from here and cannot use my internet connection.

Ive checked allot of topics already but diddnt find the right one. Maybe someone can help me? Already have Homebrew channel installed etc.

Regards,

Marcelvb

You won't be able to play online anyway. The servers are offline since 3 years.

This isn't a tutorial so it doesn't belong in the tutorial section. If you use usb loader gx, you can play region free. You can probably use Wii Flow and CFG USB loader, but I found out usb loader gx could do it through 2 minutes of googling.

well i think its already softmodded, did the letterbomb etc. have the homebrew installed and can play games from usb (means softmodded right?)

But be careful and read everything twice, otherwise you may end up having a brick (dead console).

The official servers are dead. There are some homebrew servers, but not all games are supported.

BTW great tutorial! Where are te mods when we need em?

What is a mod needed for? This is all known info. ;)

Most of the games that are fun to play with other people are supported on Wiimmfi. The only ones missing used custom servers that were managed by the publishers instead of Nintendo.
