Hacking CFW/Homebrew on a 'new' switch

Dear members,

I recently purchased a nintendo switch a few months ago that has a serial number starting with 'XKJ'. I was wondering if there still is a possibility to put CFW/Homebrew on it. If not, then that's okay and I'll just have to wait until someone figures out how to do it without getting banned. If it helps, I have system 10.0.1. All help/input/tips are greatly appreciated.

I mean, you could sell it and buy a used Switch that isn't patched, but I don't think that's the kind of solution you're looking for

You can just wait. A hardmod has been announced and pre-orders are already opened, so I guess it won't take too long.

By opening the switch and soldering components that would allow cfw to run, Team Xecuter is (apparently) making one, pre-orders are already open.

Looking at some early pics, seems like it could be a board that connects to the emmc's socket. Though it's not 100% confirmed.
