Hacking Cart loader?

So i've got a DSi and a working Supercard DSONEi. But I've also got a Supercard DSONE(no i). I don't know if it works and I want to find out.

So my question is: Is there a way for me to boot this DS/DSL only flashcart using some homebrew DS program?

What do you mean by "backwards compatibility"?

The DSi doesn't seem to have a hardware block on the flashcarts, like the Wii's IOS blocks DVD-Rs (until the D3-2 drive)
So there should be some way to load any cart from the DSONEi, because the System Menu's block isn't there. Or is it the thing that allows backwards compatibility, like the Wii's MIOS?

Sorry, I know nothing about flashcarts compared to Wii softmodding.

The DSi's 1.4 Update blocks all normal flashcards. There is no way to play the SuperCard DSOne on a DSi. If there was, there wouldn't be a need for the "i" specific cards.


Backwards Compatibility = New gen product can play old gen products along with its new gen products. Like the PS2 being able to play PS1 games.

Thanks anyway. Looks like I'll have to rebuild my 75% broken (Damaged power button, no sound, no touch on the Bootom screen) DS lite to test that SC.

I misunderstood your question from the very start lol. I thought you were asking if you could pop in the SCDSOne into the DSi. So I answered that only the SCDSOne-i can play on all the DSs. Sorry about the confusion.
