This will definitely put a smile on Mega Man fans' faces. The previously Japanese-only Mega Man Zero Collection will be coming out for the Nintendo DS later this summer for a great price! The collection will feature the four zero games, as well as all new modes! You can check out the full press release and screenshots after the jump.

Who else is excited?

this is a must have, this will be the game of year

I think I've seen you say a lot of things are the game of the year. Surprising...

Meh, I don't really care. I think most Mega Man games past the original 8-bit ones are pretty average. Way too much flashy anime to please fans, not enough of the classic 8-bit stuff. But that's just me.

I'm a bit skeptical, although it is one of my favorite gba games series, capcom also released that straightforward mmbn port (with a tiny crossover) for the ds. I think this game has the same fate.... Not to mention that the US release date so far is pretty short (summer '10) making that speculation more plausible. But only time (and patience) will tell if it is a straightforward port or not.

Capcom is a very fan-oriented company, even when their games don't sell that well to the general public, the fan response is usually very good.
I think this game will probably do better than Shooting Star Rockman did, considering that it was a pretty dated game with barely any improvement. But this is a compilation of a fan favourite series, enhanced somewhat for the DS, I think it will probably do a bit better.

Neither project should cost that much to do either, it's simply adapting old code and compiling it.

YES!! I was just gonna wait for a translation but this is great!!!

c'mon, megaman isn't really a game you have to get a translation for. it shouldn't be too difficult to play it on japanese:.
gonna just play the jp release and buy the eu version, if its' gonna be released, later on:.

I never was good at playing the gba games on an emulator so I'll definitely be sure to give this game a try when it comes out.

It's not that I can't play it in Japanese, I have the first three games, I would just prefer to be able to understand everything instead of skipping through cut-scenes.

Have you even played the Megaman Zero games on the GBA, or even the Megaman X games for the SNES?
Megaman Zero was fucking TOUGH AS FROZEN SHIT.
I enjoyed it very much.
