Hacking Cant update

Every time i use my wiiu it asks me for an update. it finishes retreving the update but when updating it stops on 30% and sends error message 162-0002 . I do have homebrew channel but i havent messed with any settings in a long time and i have updated before. im currently in wiiu version 4.0.0 can anyone help i want to use the shop channel.

You know you can update from some games with an update higher than 4.0.0 some newer games will have an update dont know any off hand you will have to look into it.

don't have money to buy games since I am saving for smash bros but can you tell me a game that can make the update

Do you have the vWii softmodded?

I also have my Wii U softmodded, but I can still update, so mods shouldn't affect the ability to update. An update via using a new game would likely work fine

I remember there was a spate of Wii U owners getting this error recently. Some people solved it by updating on a different wifi network but I don't know if the real issue was ever identified. JoostinOnline might have more info about this.

There was belief that it might be caused by patched IOS's, which doesn't actually make any sense. It still isn't known for sure what causes the issue, but the most likely culprit is corrupted update data. The usual solution is to try a different network. Take your Wii U to a friends house and try the update there.
