Hacking Can't resume a game from Rest Mode?

It's been a while since I used my PS4 on 4.55, but I feel fairly confident that I could use rest mode during a game, and be able to resume the game by waking the PS4 up.

But now when I try to resume a game using 5.05 and the HEN enabled on the Kiwii package. It always says "the data is corrupt" please re download this application. Thankfully I can just start the game back up but I have to go through the whole boot up sequence.

I'm glad Rest Mode prevents me from having to re-run the payload for exploits, but is there anyway to keep the ability to resume the game from where you left off?

Rest mode is a known issue, people recommend vtxhen 1.6, but many still say there is issue.

Currently we're still experiencing issues with most/all games resuming from rest mode.

For now, close your games before your console goes into restmode.

Guess it's a good reason not to update from 4.55 if you're still on that firmware, then...

That is, if you're not interested in running newer game backups (released up until April) or you're just into emulators.


By the way, Al Azif just released ps4-exploit-host 0.4.5, with the browser cache HTM5 trick, so you can even shut it down completely, instead of relying on Rest Mode:

AFAIK you still have to go into the browser, but the computer that is hosting the web page doesn't need to be available.

Official word is this:

HEN survives rest mode, however games do not survive rest mode with HEN running.

You can have HEN enabled, finish up and close your game, put console in rest mode.... resume from rest mode, start your game again fine.

But you (majoritively) can’t suspend games through rest mode with HEN without issues.
