Homebrew Can't control GuitarsOnFire Menu

Looking for some help getting GuitarsOnFire working on my vWii.

Similar to a post on this site by xXTopaz in 2018, I downloaded GuitarsOnFire from wii brewology and it seems to work on startup, but my controller turns off and I am unable to control the menu at all.
Would anyone have a different set of files or any idea what needs to be done to get this working?

I was able to resolve this issue -- for whatever reason guitars on fire does not work with newer wiimotes with integrated wiimotion plus. Older white remotes work just fine.
