I'm at the point in Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door remake where you find the ghost's diary. However, every time I try to talk to the ghost after having retrieved it (it is in my inventory -- I checked), all he keeps telling me is he wants me to give it back to him. But he never actually gives me a prompt where I can hand it over. After about 30 min of troubleshooting (I seem to be the only human on the planet with this problem lol), I even read the damn thing in front of him so he would kill me (which works), but otherwise I'm just stuck. I have no clue what to do. I seem to be soft-locked...
