so i already installed the homebrew channel launcher......
the homebrew opens and shows the homebrew store app
however no matter what version i download, i can't get D2X CIOS INSTALLER to show up in the homebrew menu at all

using homebrew version 1.4 / with wii u menu version 5.5.3

it's driving me crazy because i can't install any of the backup launchers, please help

folder structure

WIIU / APPS / D2X CIOS INSTALLER

what part, i already did follow the hacking guide?
i got brain teasers official game, used the exploit and currently have homebrew channel launcher on my main wii screen , the SD card is reading in the wii, and showing up in homebrew, however the folders for D2X CIOS are not showing up in homebrew......which part of the guide did i miss? it says once you download d2x cios and extract to desktop to add it to the SD card, inside the /Apps folder

i am not new to modding, i have a wii with wiiflow and usb loader, however i am not able to install the CIOS because homebrew is not recognizing the folder on my new WII U....... please clarify?

WIIU / APPS / D2X CIOS INSTALLER, that´s the problem.
The vWii recognizes this structure:
SD/ APPS/ D2X CIOS INSTALLER.
try that and tell me.

You should have 2 APPS folder. One for Wii U: SD/Wii U/ Apps. And other one for WII on the root of you´re SD card: SD/APPS.

Isnt d2x for wii or vWii? It wont show in wii u HBL as its not meant for wiiu. You have to launch it through vWii HBC.

Edit... Sorry, just saw the above reply.

No problem cause you are giving a good advice too. D2X has a release for vWii so no problem with that, but of course it has to be launched in HBL for Wii, thaat´s obvious.

is there two seperate home brew launchers?

"Launch the Homebrew Channel on vWii"

is this different from launching the homebrew channel from wii u menu?
do i need a different version of the homebrew channel in order to launch vwii folders?

i dragged the /apps folder to the root, but still not recognizing from homebrew channel

Of course.
When u said this: "currently have homebrew channel launcher on my main wii screen , the SD card is reading in the wii, and showing up in homebrew", i thought you already have both homebrew launchers.
Don´t worry, you are in an advance step of the process.
1) you have already hacked Wii U menu with haxchi via the DS game, also you have the homebrew channel installed for Wii U.
2) Now, via the homebrew channel of Wii U (that you already have), you will have to install the homebrew channel of vWii. That´s why the Wii U has the 2 separate menus, one and default for Wii U, and the other for Wii. but it´s easy so don´t worry.
3) https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-definitive-vwii-hacking-guide.425852/ Follow the method one, which allows you to install the homebrew channel on (version Wii menu) from ur homebrew channel of Wii U menu.
4) After that, you just have to launch the homebrew channel on the Wii menu, aaand finally you will see the D2X Cios installer, and that´s it.

i didn't realize VWII was a completely seperate software within the wii u menu
