I need to cancel my Xbox Live subscription before they charge me 40 quid on the 24th of this month.
My Xbox is broken so I can't do it through that and I don't know the number.

By the way, it's not a 360. Does anyone know the number to call in the UK to cancel?

Your first mistake was giving them credit card credentials... buy prepaid cards. They're cheaper.

Microsoft does not delete your credit card credentials, and (at least in the Americas) it will take persuasion for them to cancel your Live. Its bull.

But, you should find a number on xbox.co.uk

Call the credit card company and tell them to stop any further payments to the service. MS will get the idea.

Thanks Thug, I'll phone them in a bit and cancel.
It best not be too much hassle to do.

I made the same mistake when I first got the 360. Luckily after 12 months the card I was using expired. Still had a hell of a time getting it taken off, especially when your calling an Indian call centre and hoping you get through to someone who understands basic English.

Tell the credit card company to stop making payments to:
Microsoft Xbox Live.
Then, microsoft will call you eventually, tell them your xbox is currently broken and you dont want xbox live anymore.
