Hello I just came across the gateway Ultra and it works without a flashcart. Now i'm looking at the menu
I dump my nand and backed up a game, now I wanna try emunand.

So can someone give me an up right tutorial on what I need to do before I format emunand, first off wouldit even work?

Not happening. Emunand requires a flashcart until karl/oska is released

Edit: forgot rxtool was just released.

palantine cfw, mtcard emunand.
only in 4.x
gateway classic mode lies by thier drm boot mode. without the card it goes to a black screen.

wait for KARL. it would require an entrypoint like ninjhax though.

Can't anybody use rxTools emunand ("rxMode")? Although, I did read that apparently the latest version might have some issues when updating from 4.x all the way to 9.6, so at the moment I'm cautious of updating in rxMode. But assuming that it works as intended, isn't it a free emunand solution for anybody, even those without GW/etc.?

thanks..

Wait I just backed up a my retail game if i remover the cartraidge will it work?

Eventhough I dont have any Gatwaycard/CFW

A backed up rom does nothing without a flashcart. You can convert it to cia and install it on cfw though.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
