Hey everyone. I’m a newbie to home brew and stuff and hacking in general. However, homebrew, emulators, backups (being totally honest here), and save editing (among other things) appear as “fun,” and something I’d like to do now or in the future when things are more developed or user friendly.
My qualm is, hacking/homebrew seems to warrant a ban on the Nintendo switch console. I have one now, but I do not want to risk the ban. Sure online isn’t amazing, but I most certainly be interested and keeping splatoon online and other things to play with friends. Also, I’m more than excited for classic nes titles in a Netflix like fashion. I was debating whether or not to buy a purely offline switch for this reason to get into homebrew, but I wanted to gather opinions on whether or not I should. I can buy a sole console for less than $200 and do that. However, is it a smart thing to do, or should I just wait considering I’ve heard things abt emunand and things like that (but I’m not entirely sure what those are if I’m honest).
Please be easy on me, I’m not the smartest person about these things, just want to gather more information and understand. Thanks for even reading this!
