Lookslike nobody miss this service. As it involves dedicated servers it’s a very hard work to emulate and I doubt someone can bring it back without much cost.

Sorry for hyacking
I used an app to replace near with vitashell . Now i moved vitashell to ur0 and want to restore the near application (i know near doesnt work )
I do have an original eboot.bin from my vitatv
How can i copy this eboot.bin back to my vita?
Vitashell throws me some 0x0difficult error and refuses to copy
Also ftp refuses to overwrite the eboot.bin.

What do i do wrong?
Edit : answer is.. Make partition read write..

Can we even delete those unneeded apps like near and the others that comes factory-installed?
What will be the use of that? ... Those apps live on a partition which you shouldn't access.
Deleting them won't give you much more space

I made a bubble and moved all the unused applications to that bubble.
Moved the complete bubble to last screen..... Not what you want but removing apps from vs0 could be dangerous.

Yes, by remounting r/w vs0 or pd0 as appropriate, and removing the undesired apps' app+appmeta+license

removing apps from vs0 could be dangerous
Nothing you can't fix by reinstalling the OS from recovery mode (which only requires partition table, bootloader, idstorage, and parts of os0)
