Picked up a lot from a local buy and sell of Psp 1000 Machines that all boot up to the black screen

No other info was given.

Guess is all are bricked.
No idea which version they are on or what the issue was.

After some searching it looks like I can create a Pandora battery and some how restore the psp?
I have extra memory cards and batteries but all of the guides semm out dated or have conflicting information

Does anyone have a step by step guide or link to a video?

I also have a working Psp with 6.20 CFW on it

Thanks

Yes; unless you have another (working) PSP with eeprom writing capabilities, you will need to open the battery up and disconnect the data pin of the eeprom; this will result in the battery's regulator thinking the eeprom is filled with FF bytes, and it just happens that a Pandora/Jigkick battery is one with a serial number of FFFFFFFF

You will also need a Magic Memory Stick with recovery software on it - so go grab some form of Memory Stick reader that connects to your PC, if you don't have (any) working PSP

The software part is basically: Download operating system 5.00 and Rain's Ultralite MMS Maker, open it, select the memory stick, select "make mms", select the 5.00 update file, insert magic memory stick in bricked console, hold L, insert Pandora battery (power will automatically turn on), use the recovery tools (try just installing 5.00 CFW as first, if not enough you'll have to experiment the repartitioning/idstorage features- strictly in that order as the last one is technically destructive, although in nothing that matters much in the post-PSN and post-SonicStage days)

Older guides say the Magic Memory Stick must be under 4 GB, this doesn't matter when using a 5.00 based solution like this one - I have tried it personally with my official 32 GB stick
