Android Break pattern lock without access to recovery, USB Debugging, or root?

A guy I know found a HTC Desire 610 and is paying me 20$ to take out the password and wipe the data but the thing is that I cant wipe the data with recovery because it's stuck on fastboot and I can't access the settings. I cant use ADB because USB debugging is not enabled. I'm just here blindingly trying random patterns. Is there any way to unlock it?

You could try erasing user data in fastboot mode.

Or, assuming the phone isn't on 4.3, just use fastboot and boot into a recovery image?

And almost all of those won't help at all, since USB debugging isn't enabled and he supposedly can't get into a recovery

You can always do a system hard reset, it is very hard to brick an android device completely (bad bootloader can do it), and impossible if you can actually get into the system at all. Try the second method here: http://www.htc.com/sea/support/htc-desire-610/howto/507978.html

Is download mode working? (shut the device down, hold volume down+home+ power button)

If so try this:


Search a stock rom for this device and flash it with Odin + choose to wipe data while you're flashing.
Note: this method will also wipe all the data on the phone.

Odin can repair all kind of software bricks/problems,... of all Android devices.

ODIN is a tool only for SAMSUNG android devices. It will not work with an HTC device. HTC phones don't even have download mode.

How will I do that? I cant get into recovery because fastboot is enabled.
