My Wii U has Haxchi installed and have been using External HDD for most of my Wii U games (From Wii U USB Helper). For the BOTW DLC Pack 1, is it just as easy as getting it from Wii U USB Helper, installing with WUP installer from HBL channel, and play? Or is there more steps involved in the process? Thoughts and help appreciated :)

Correct. Install the update with wup installer too. You need to be running patched haxchi sys menu (or equivalent) for dlc to work...

No you install dlc exactly the same way you would with a game. The only thing is you need to run haxchi cfw every time you want to play the game with the dlc unless you do this https://gbatemp.net/threads/play-zelda-botw-with-all-dlc-for-free-without-cfw.469520/

Ok, thanks! :)
How do I know if I am running patched Haxchi? I have Haxchi channel installed and followed the guide by Kafluke...

What do you mean? I use WUP installer to install games and such from Wii U USB Helper... I am confused...

You need to run haxchi each time on boot and hopefully you config file is set to sysmenu default.

Or install cbhc for automatic sysmenu patching on boot...

What should my config file look like? Also, haxchi needs to be launched AT boot? Or do I run it before I play a game with DLC?

Just make sure you set the default to "sysmenu" save and install haxchi again if you had to change config. Then you need to run haxchi after boot to play dlc, vc, homebrew

Thanks for the info guys. I had an update for BOTW already installed, update was before latest one... Do I just install latest update and DLC over top of other stuff through WUP Installer?

Install both on top of what you have
