A surprise to ring in the New Year was the discovery of what could potentially help lead to developments in the PlayStation 5 hacking scene. Internal files from Sony have leaked onto the internet, which includes "Level 0 BootROM keys" for the PS5. These keys are instrumental in understanding how the PlayStation 5 operates, and could also be used to decrypt the PS5's bootloader. As it stands, since they exist on a hardware level, there's nothing Sony can do to patch away the vulnerability of the keys being readily available online. However, while useful to have, PlayStation scene member Jose Coixao stressed that this by no means guarantees an easy hack for the PS5, since there's still plenty of other work involved in being able to exploit a console. Time will tell if those within the scene can make any headway with the discovery of these keys.

I don't think they've given up. MS has and always will be a software company, they've actually positioned themselves very well to continue that process. They're making bank regardless of the hardware, and if other companies want to make hardware, they'll continue to make software to run on that hardware.

It's the reason Sega went down the drain, the cost of the dreamcast R&D, and it losing the console war to Nintendo/Sony at the time killed them off from continuing in the hardware market.

Sony has very very few jewels in it's crown, baring Spiderman IP im not sure Sony directly own many IPs. They have deals with various companies like Capcom etc, but no direct IP (Could be wrong though), but i'd say they certainly don't have the amount of IPs that MS has.

I don't think $ony cares about the cost... I predict the ps6, when it launches, will have a couple crappy remix games and cost $1500.

Big companies arent affected by the these price hikes.they might pretend to ,but since the bulk order they do is in the millions,infineon,samsung and others have no choice but sell cheap to them.The rivalry with datacenters for AI is not gpnna last the next 3 years.the ai FAD will burst.

Looks like ps5 backporting now possible, might be seeing newer titles coming in.

I wish we could get debug over to 10.1 for reaper/ps5 trainers.

I'm gutted because I bought a ps5 it was on 8.x, kept it in storage for this time newer firmware exploits, but the YTJB kept crashing/ auto closing so I assumed its the firmware. Updated it to 10.1 and same.

I need to find an alt DNS to block YTJB auto updating, I tried editing the app and uploading the file to my console but it still updated. Shadowmount sounds interesting but added to my autoload config but it doesn't scan for my games, still have it use itmzflw to boot games.

I just want to get it going, ps5 trainer wise seems slow or do ps4 versions also work on ps5 as id find ps4 would work on different regions, do we just need to rename them to os5 region id?

Haven't touched my PS5 in well over a year because I just can't afford new games and can't afford PS+.

Well ... And i have ~150 Games + PS+ but don't even play on this thing. Just played 2 Games last year, finished them on Platin. The Rest of the Games are Unplayed. Since then, the PlayStation 5 has just been sitting around gathering dust. So my PS5 has the same Fate.
