    Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a way to boot my steam machine directly into Steam Big Picture or at minimum shorten the time I have to see my desktop before Big Picture loads. If there a safe way to do this? One method I read had something to do with editing registry settings but I'm not so eager to do something that could potentially screw everything else up. Any suggestions?

While I don't know exactly what to do, you could try making a virtual machine and playing with its registry files until it boots into big picture like you want it to. You can then replicate it on your regular system.

Already have my Steam setup that way but there's still a good minute of waiting as Steam loves to take its time searching for updates before entering Big Picture.
