Hey everyone, yesterday I bought a switch and happy as i was, when i came home to try it out the screen wouldn't turn on. After starting up the screen would 'light up', but remain black. The nintendo switch is completely responsive however (you can hear it starting up and hear the menu). The funny thing is when it's played in docked everything is fine. I've searched through the internet and I can see some similiar problems that have been fixed with resetting the switch (12-15 sec powerbutton) or starting up in recovery mode, but none of them worked for me. I also don't see the startup logo, or when I charge the switch, i don't see a charge logo in the top left corner. Do you think my switch screen is broken? Kinda shitty if I have to send it to recovery for buying a defect product..

Thanks for listening and replying

If I was you I would demand a exchange... Here (Portugal) they give at least a 15 day period that you can return it to the store without needing to sent to warranty, I don't know how it is in your country.

Your switch might have the screen cable not properly attached or somwthing worse, I have no clue, I would return it right away and demand a new one.

Agreed, it would be similar here in the UK so hopefully it should be fine wherever you (op) are.
