If you update vitashell to latest version, you can use usb transfer (If you using vita) or the flash drive with the usb port on the vita tv to transfer stuff. It is much faster and easier than ftp. :)

How? I always relied on ftp, wireless ftw :-)
I really have no idea why ftp is so faulty for me

Well the updated Vitashell has better ftp functions, that don't even require Filezilla like it did before, it works with even more basic ftp programs. If you haven't updated vitashell to be able to use usb functions, you can do what i did.
  1. Go to your browser on the psvita
  2. Visit this website http://vitabrowserdownloads.weebly.com/
  3. Find vitashell 1.61 download on the page.
  4. Download it. (Is in mp4 format but I'll explain next)
  5. Open molecule and go find the mp4 file
  6. Rename the mp4 file extension (.mp4 to .vpk)
  7. Press x to Install vitashell 1.61
  8. Open vita shell and it should ask to update to 1.74, Simply accept and install it.
After that you should have the latest version with usb support. Either on PSVITA, use the usb cord or vita tv, use a flash drive and mount it.

It's 1.74 already
What do you mean doesn't need Filezilla? How to connect to vita?

On windows, you can just open a folder and type the FTP information in the the address bar. Make sure both systems is connected to same access point. Or you can just use a usb cable.
