Hey all,

So I recently got myself a brand new Widescreen TV and we have rearranged the living room. Now, when sitting on the couch, the wii sensor seems to go in and out during some games (Mario Galaxy, etc).

Can anyone recommend a better wii sensor bar? I am at abotu 10' and its losing signal. I have done some searching but I figured I would ask here before I bought something.

There are several options. I have a wireless sensor bar, as its a ways from the TV to the Wii... Someone (NYKO??) released a long-range sensor bar, that was reviewed quite well on IGN.com, I suggest you look for that one.

That being said, 10feet isnt a huge distance. I often find that my directional lights, if they shine on or near the TV confuse my sensor bar and make it respond strangely. Try adjusting the lights in your room so that there are no 'bulbs' being detected by the Sensor bar. (This may mean moving the sensor bar to below the tv (and adjusting the settings in Setup) )
I hope this helps.

I saw a wireless sensor bar at bestbuy that has a wide setting for $20. You can also just get two tea lights and put them in front of the tv.

Protip: your xmas tree light will also screw it up.

Thanks for the tips. I am not sure why everything when bad with the new TV but it certainly could have something to do with the new glass mounting we got.

I will dig into the best buy thing and hope for the best.

the sensor-bar dousnt "sense" anything, it's just a bunch of infrared led's.
you can see them with a camcorder or cellfone-cam.

the window in the front of the wii-remote has a camera inside that can see and track the led's - if it's not blinded by other infrared light.

you can even get tv's in japan for wii owners that have the led's embedded in the casing around the screen.
