Heya,

Seems like my parents are getting a Wii for Xmas so I was wondering what's the best modchip at the moment? Is it still the CycloWiz? I live in Belgium so it's a PAL Wii, with the chip I can play NTSC & NTSC-J games right? (just to make sure). And where is the best place to buy it for Europe? I bought my R4 from 01media but they're pretty expensive.

Also, can you somehow play N64 games on the Wii? I'd like to play the original Paper Mario ^^

Tia ^^

EDIT: Whoops wrong board, please move it to Wii - Hacking.

Modchips make the Wii only partially regionfree. Not all games will work and many will have compatibility issues.
For N64 games, there is a homebrew emulator that runs in gamecube mode, but it is far from perfect and it will only run a few games. But Paper Mario is available through Nintendo's Virtual Console store, you can buy it for 1000 WiiPoints

I highly suggest you tell them to import an NTSC Wii, especially since Brawl's been delayed until summer in the PAL reigon.

Also, unless you buy a used Wii you'll need a D2C chip.
