Some users may disagree, but both the original OS package and AKAIO are way too bloated for me.
I am tired of all those unnecessary theming things.
So I decide to use YsMenu, which is the simplest available UI I can find.
The author of YsMenu does not want everyone else to link to his package directly.
However, the author's homepage is there no more, and the Internet Archive does not have the package.
Luckily, I have a copy of its last version on my hard drive.
Also, this is not the same package from the used-to-be homepage.I assume that it is OK to post here.
Features:
*Removed every unnecessary file.Only English localization is kept.
*Adjusted colors to match the default background.Removed non-English entries.
*Everything YsMenu provides.No decoration.No gimmick.Purely functional.
Note: For size reasons,USRCHEAT.DAT is replaced by an empty file. You can download the file from elsewhere.
Remove ZIP extension before extraction.
EDIT:Added DSTT version.

Standard compatibility with YsMenu, since YsMenu is used as the main kernel.
Oh....that's not very good then. I just tested out Pokemon Black (because I know it has an AP) and it just doesn't work.
Retro's files don't work either :/ This is a cool idea, but already gimped right of the gate. We need retro's files to work, otherwise this really isn't worth using. I am not trying to discourage you, but simply point out that this is an issue.

It works with most of commercial ROMs.You need a DLDI patch to run homebrews.

It works for most of them, but the Pokemon games are kind of the most important games to work with.
OMG.Pokemon.It has issues on GBA,NDS and 3DS.
I do not think that there is a solution since I do not have the source code for Ys.Maybe you have to patch the ROM file itself.

I tried replacing the loader with akAIO as a backer, but that didn't work. IIRC, this actually is loading through an older Acekard kernel

AK2i YSMenu is different from other carts and does not use infolib/extinfo/savlib which is why I don't do updates/support for the AK2i and its clones.
It is built from/uses akloader/ak2loader, FYI.

My old friend, retro. I didn't know you were still part of the scene. I noticed that as well, but it also seems as though updating to the latest ones from akAIO just causes the system to freeze on "loading" for me.
I did find this, which gave me error about not being able to find the "ak2loader.nds"

The whole sense of this lite package is to occupy as less space on your SD as possible with fewest files.
Bonus:to squeeze the most space from your SD:
# mkfs.fat -D 0x00 -f 1 -F 32 -h 0 -I -m /dev/null -M 0xFC -n TWLPROGRAMS -R 2 -s 128 /dev/mmcblk0 (whole device,no partition)

Well what I am trying to do is find a working and up to date loader for you. I want your file to succeed, but if it's out of date then not many are going to want to use it.
Once you have something up to date, then it's just a matter of trimming it down later.

I just downloaded this today to test out and while I do like the minimal layout very much ( I was also able to find some nice themes to go with it) I found a minor bug. I added a usercheat.dat file for cheats, and while the cheats do show in the menu and you can tick them on and off they don’t actually activate in game, both passive cheats and manual cheats. At first I thought this happened because I forgot to tick the check mark for cheats and hit save and exit after I selected them, but the cheats still don’t work, does anyone have a fix for this?

It's cool to have YSMenu on my AK2i but the main reason I wanted this was to load a game which my akAIO firmware wouldn't support, but this can't even do that. It can't run any homebrew apps that require a folder to properly work. I hope there is a way to fix this problem
