Hacking Bannner Editing Question

1st I know I'm probably supposed to post this in The Banner Editing topic but one1 answer me for 2 days or so here goes...

Neoseeker's Backup Loader Channel ( i think that's how it's spelled ) when it changes pictures in the menu screen it doesn't go to a smaller version of a picture and in the tut that would result in a permanent brick, so i was wondering how to do that ? And how to you add sound cuz i don't really get it xD thanx guys!

Follow that tutorial exactly to the brim, one wrong move and you could be fucked, take it slow at first, BE SURE TO HAVE PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE in case of brick!
