Unsure of all issues yet, but as linknworm said it appears bannerbomb may have passed away.
It also appears the wii's firmware stays at 4.1 after this update.

Saw that screen the other week after I'd used bannerbomb and then cancelled the installation. Trying to run bannerbomb a second time caused a full on crash and lockup until power cycled.

The firmware stays at 4.1, because it IS 4.1. Those are really old logs, I'm not sure why they were just posted on tehskeen today. I think it was more because wiimpersonator now has twitter. There is no new update.

Yes - there is an update - people have already been updating there wii's. If there was no update available it wouldn't let you update - would it?

With regards to bannerbomb tho - a couple of others have now tried it and it appears to still work for them.

The best(and only way) to proove that the others are idiots is to really do it the described way(insert sd card in time) and trying all bannerbombs. And then report back here with the results. If you don't do that you only proove something else...

Also, it could be that nintendo patched the 1st bannerbomb, and the 2nd one is still working. They prooved how skilled they are in fixing holes, so this wouldn't be too surprising.

PS: And i hope you know the requirements for bannerbomb to work.
