Hacking backups occassionally makes nunchuck spin

i noticed that occassionally when i am playing my backups the nunchuck either spins or goes up uncontrolably to one direction.

wtf?

to correct it i unplug it and replug it back in

sucks because it just so happens to happen at crutial moments when i am playing online.

anyone know why it does this or experienced it?

better yet, anyone know how to correct this?

oh and FYI... i have resynced my controllers MANY times (the correct way) and still nothing.

Seems to me like your having muscle spasms.
How old are you? Do you have a history of Huntington's in the family?
Maybe you have Cerebral Palsy or multiple sclerosis

i've had no problem like that... have you tried with normal games? maybe it's just your nunchuck...

its just your nunchuck you probably used it a lot or something
happens to me too but isnt annoying enough to make me angry

I don't think this is a homebrew / piracy issue. It's happened both to mine and my friend's Wii.

My own Wii only has the HBC and whatever cIOS was needed for WiidumpSD 1.3u, the other only has the HBC. I doubt any of these things could mess up how peripherals are handled.

Have you been wrapping the cable round the nunchuck?

This will cause the wire to break inside and make it do this, I have two friends with un-modded wii's and this problem.

If you move the nunchuck stick while a game is loading the Wii takes that position to be the default. This means that when you start the game with the stick in its normal position, the Wii thinks you've moved it and responds to that movement. This happened with the Gamecube as well and is documented in Gamecube game booklets (if I remember right).
This can happen just by having the nunchuck lying on its side, causing the stick to be off-centre...
Does this explain what's happening to you?
