I have searched all over the net for a program where I can backup all of my music from my Ipod through Itunes onto my PC.. I used to have a program but I cant find it anymore.. All the ones I find now are either limited to a certain amount of songs, dont work, or you have to pay them with one of your arms (Meaning its very expensive..

So, Can anyone help me out... I just want to back my ipod touch music to my pc so in case it crashes I can get all my music onto it easily..

Also, The Cover Art glitch.. Is it happening to anyone else.. Like coverarts not showing up, showing up on albums where they dont belong, half showing up and just randomly going anywhere..

Anyway, I hope you can help me.. Thanks

If you have an older iPod, like the Nano or the Video, just open up Windows Explorer and go to your iPod drive. Change your folder options to show hidden files, locate the audio files (they will all have 4-letter names like YXHF, for example), and copy them to somewhere on your computer. It really doesn't matter that the filenames are all messed up because as soon as you import them back into iTunes the ID3 Tags will still show all of the song information.

Haha sorry, I just skimmed your post. "Touch" didn't register with me. If you just want to do it as a one-time thing there is a program that allows for 2 or 3 weeks trial... It basically lets you access your iPod Touch's storage and put stuff on it or take stuff off it... Just let me find the name for you.

TouchCopy. I'm pretty sure that is what I had used...

I also found the art glitch.. You have to use mp3idtag or something, then apply the tags to each album..

Red Chair software. Look that up on the intertubes. Also, there was some program that allowed you to get the music on the go. It was just an executable file, no need to install. Fucked up your iPod but it worked just fine once you formatted it again. Works fine if you're backing up huge data. Something with Y, it was... Maybe Yamipod? something like that, yeah.

Not sure if they'll have updated it to work with touch tho.

These work if they are on your ipod. You can use xilisoft ipod rip (works great, you need to get the latest update or issues). PM me if you want more "info" on this.

Or you can use idump. It is freeware ( http://www.codershole.com/idump.php ) it is a little glitchy, but works. You just do not want to do anything with your pc if you are using idump as it will lock up.
