pretty sure I had problems with this and eventually ignored and used exFat back with SX OS.

anyways I've been having issues and the "file is too large for destination file system" when trying to move a game to my SD card...apparently this is a limit for how big a file size on FAT32....so why again is it always stated to make sure you format the SD card as such if u cant even fit games on it?

exFAT comes with a very high risk of corruption when used on the Switch, that's why it's not recommended to use that

You can install bigger games via USB or network off your PC with ns-usbloader and awoo installer anyways

thanks maybe ill try this, the ironic thing is now I'm dealing with file corruption too and I think the issue also popped up with sx os when i was first doing this, only when I formatted to fat32 (default the cards only let me exFat format, need to use a program)

either way im just gonna start fresh again on atmosphere install because everything is just coming up corrupt

Have you checked to see if your SD card is fake or not?

fake? not sure what is meant by that...

It was probably longer than a year ago, when I was starting out learning to mod the switch, but pretty sure I bought the SD card at target
Fake SD cards are SD cards that report larger than actual sizes. The retailer doesn't matter as fakes have been sold by everyone. To check if its fake or not, use a program like h2test2 or FakeFlashTest.
