My 3DS had CFW for a while, but unfortunately the SD card it was on corrupted and I didn't reinstall it. Now the system updated and the console can't boot up anymore. Is it bricked? Is there a way to restore it to its former state? Sorry I don't really know how CFW even works

The 3DS modification is not (only) on the SD. B9S is installed to the internal NAND and will survive pretty much everything but a deliberate uninstall (bad idea) – corrupted SD does not remove B9S.
Download latest Luma3DS → https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/releases/tag/v10.2.1 and extract boot.firm (and boot.3dsx) on a FAT32 formatted SD

Then repeat the finalizing steps of the guide and everything should be working again.

Good luck and have fun!

Well, I grew up speaking English at home, my family had lived in Zimbabwe for a couple decades before returning to Portugal.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
There's also the fact that most all games and stuff was in english

    Tbh, I've never left Usa
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
So I grew up used to games in english. Seeing games translated to Portuguese feels cringe, especially when it's the cheap, low class, crappy variant of Portuguese (aka, Brazilian P

    ortuguese).

I always play games in English

    Italian translations suck ass

@_Ruri_, I only play games in English when:
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    1. Theres no spanish translation (either official or fanmade)
    2. If it is translated, it sucks
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
Tbh I'd like to play them in Japanese but I don't have enough fluency yet so English it is lol
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
@Xdqwerty, I see. I always play them in English because even when translation isn't ass it's still cringe having games in a language that isn't English or Japanese imho
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
Only game I played in Japanese is Pokémon Red because it's piss easy to understand lol
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@_Ruri_, I was learning japanese but then I forgot
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
@Xdqwerty, Well it's not exactly an easy language, learning it is kind of a big commitment

You only learn it if you're a total psycho devoted heart and soul to the land of Nihon such as myself
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
I mean even my handle is a Japanese name lol
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
Even listening to a Japanese song rn
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@_Ruri_, If I knew both japanese AND romhacking I would make my own fan translations of several games
  • _Ruri_ @ _Ruri_:
@Xdqwerty, Fan translations are pretty cool.
Fate/stay night (2004) literally survived in the west for 20 years based on a fan translation lmao. Didn't have an official English translation until last year lol
