Hacking Anyway to remove 3DS update?

I just got my Gateway all set up and running fine but like an idiot I left my WIFI on after loading the gateway using the browser. Now my 3DS has auto downloaded the update and keeps asking me to update. Is there any way for me to remove the update?

Will downgrading remove it?

You can format your system in the settings. But it will remove some other data.

Formatting is not recommended as that upgrades your system anyway. Downgrading might remove it, but then you'd get it back if the same thing happens.

Yeh if i get rid of it ill make sure i never do it again.

Any one sure that downgrading will get rid of it? Or is it just an idea?

You can safely downgrade to 4.5 and then format your sysnand.
In my case the upadate shown when i downgraded to 4.5, but after that you can format sysnand without need to update

Why does it nag to connect to the internet if you try to format then? Not doubting you, just wanna know.

Try using another sd card with nothing But the launcher, with wifi off, and let us know if it works
