I just got my black XL. Ordered from amazon.de on jul 12. Firmware is 4.5.0

Europe has had black for a while and there is older stock floating around. NA black units have newer firmware.

Given the Animal Crossing 3DS XLs that came out 2 months ago had 5.1.x, any new consoles will have that or even more recent.

I got one yesterday from EB games here in canada. It came with 5.1 firmware stock.
