The former Prince of the British Royal Family was arrested earlier today and held for questioning as law enforcement investigates his ties into Jeffery Epstein. This arrest was made the Thames Valley Police, who are investigating reports that the former royal sent trade reports to the pedophile New York financier. The formal charge was "suspicion of misconduct in public office" (BBC). His homes in both Windsor and Norfolk have been raided by law enforcement.
This is the first time a British royal has been arrested in around 400 years.
Mountbatten-Windsor was held and formally under arrest, but has neither been charged nor exonerated. More will likely follow as the UK conducts their investigation into Epstein.
The King released this statement:

The King released this statement:
I have learned with the deepest concern the news about AndrewMountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.
What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.
In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.
Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.
As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter.
Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.
