I've just bought it so I will send it back have just got in touch with them.I shall not be buying a Transcend card again that is for sure!
You can delete and add files again but it wont format with any tool or reader it just keeps saying its locked!
Ah, Transcend is supposed to be a decent brand, but the only card I bought from them broke within 6 months, so I'm avoiding that brand as well now.

For 3ds flashcarts you should avoid Kingston, i haven't seen anyone having problem with other known brands. Just for your info i used sandisk both 8gb and 32gb uhs1 and havent experienced any issue yet.

I just thought could a corrupt file on the MSD card stop it from formatting? Shall I delete all the files on the card and then try to format. Its done in altogether now, you cannot delete from it or put files on it anymore. It seems too of crapped out since I put the Jap version of monster Hunter 4 on it!

That really sounds like it could be an adapter issue. Do you have any other msd->SD adapters around that you can test this with?

Sorry m8 but that does not work but thanks for the try!. I'm going to have to format the card again and start from scratch. Its not down to a cheap micro-sd card this is a top of the range Premium 300x Transcend 64GB Micro-SD card so I don't think its the card at fault, I hope!
I talk about SD card, not micro-SD

I was using a sandisk ultra 32gb in my Wii , then I upgraded to the San-Disc Ultra III 64 gb card for the wii u , no issues with either card . I put my wii away and now use that card in a video camera

Yeah I have sent it back and I'm getting a San-Disc Ultra in return. I shall never be buying a Transcend again!

From what I've heard exfat support is still fairly buggy, because of the huge variety of micro sdcards, half of which if not more are poor quality knock offs. I've heard that some of them will show the proper size but the size of the memory chip itself is smaller. So try with it formatted regular fat32, if it works you may just have a poor sd.

Is it best to have it on Fat32 or exFat32, if your just having full roms no trimming. I thought it was exfat you needed? I think exfat32 is the only one that pops up for choice with 64GB's in Windows format I cant remember for sure my card has gone back now.

I use ExFAT on a sandisk 64GB UHS-1 card with no problems. Gateway recommend using ExFAT over FAT32.
If nothing else it removes the 4GB max file size limitation of FAT32.

Make sure you're using a good card reader (that's definitely SDXC compatible), I've had many issues with cheap ones in the past (data corruption, cant read/write/format a known good card that works in another reader).
