Ambassador Program NES Games

*wanders past looking annoyed and mumbles about how we haven't even got the confirmation tool yet*

Oh, SMB3 is in the GBA selection as Super Mario Advance 4- before you all jump on me about yoshi's island, check the updates sticky in the 3ds games forum IT IS TRUE

UK doesn't even have the eligibility checker, so I don't even know if I'll get into the ambassador program, i was in the process of trading my 3DS in when this was first announced and had formatted my 3DS.
I decided to keep my 3DS and created a new account and everything before August 11th and even bought some things in the eShop.

i just wish we had a choice of what 10 games we wanted. wrecking ball, ice climber, donkey kong jr., ?? =(

they didn't even bother to add real time save. =/

If they added RTS that would be lame, since the NES didn't have RTS either and in my opinion it's awesome to play for 9 hours non-stop to finish a game.
Just the thoughts of retrogamer.

Wewt. I got them.... Nintendo really needs to add a bulk downloader though

They have it on the GB games.
And for those complaining: the NES games are being released on VC with Real time save and *possibly* actual multiplayer, so our copies will be updated when that happens.

I don't know if you've noticed, but we are beta testers lol

Nintendo did say that more functionality (save state?) could be
added before the games launch on eshop and that we could
download updated versions for free.

Agreed. I could have easily come up with a more worthy list of titles to choose from myself.

Or heck, if they really wanted to blow everyone away, now that AVGN did a video of it, they should consider doing a "3D Classics" version of the Nintendo World Championships cart, and make it so that players could upload their scores online. It would be a more successful competitive experience than any given match of Counterstrike, et al.

I can see why Nintendo chose some of these. Hell, if Nintendo wanted to blow everyone away and make for an awesome NES list:
- Nintendo World Championships 1990 (with some ability to upload scores to a leaderboard)
- SMB + Duck Hunt
- Mega Man 2 (oh come on, don't give me any of that "but it's owned by capcom!" crap. They can get it, along with every other third-party game ever released for the system)
- Contra
- (the real) Mike Tyson's Punch Out!
- Donkey Kong (NOT DK Jr.)
- Bionic Commando
- Final Fantasy
- Super Dodge Ball
- Duck Tales / Chip & Dale : Rescue Rangers / Darkwing Duck
ph34r.gif

- Rad Racer (and actually USE THE 3D Mode)
- River City Ransom

Sadly, I could go on.

OW GAWD YES BREATH LIFE INTO MAI 3DS!

The only thing i don't like about these games, is that you can not switch your A & B Buttons to where Y=B and B= A.

Other than that i like having them.

this is pretty cool, but the aspect ratio on the top screen looks pretty bad.

Funny you should mention that, as the aspect ratio for these VC games is correct while NES emulators for the GBA/DS aren't, as they have to squish the output vertically (which means the loss of scanlines) for those so it would fit the screen.

I'm glad you guys like ancient roms, but I'm too busy watching 3d videos, playing 3d games, etc. Ya know, what the system is actually meant to do. Baffles my mind people give a crap about a handful of cheap old roms.

EDIT: @Yuyuyup - Do you really expect Nintendo to pull off something magical?? If Nintendo 3DS Games were on eShop and they'd given us NES games, then you could complain, but seeing as there is NO 3DS Game on the eShop, what you expect?? People should be glad that we are getting ATLEAST something, imagine if even this wasn't there. What'd you do?? Something is better than nothing.
