My advice is have no active Wi-Fi connections, go in airplane mode, use Tinfoil to avoid updating firmware and well seek out the necessary files of course! I'm on 5.1.0 and just stay in aeroplane mode going online always runs the risk of a ban. 100% confident if I were to connect online right now I would likely instantly get banned. You just need RajNX, ReiNX or Hekate builds of atmosphere. Not much point for the majority having interest in anything being worked on for the Atmosphere OS as a whole right now, as far as I know.

Also 100% do that. I NAND backup will save your life. You can possibly update to a higher firmware too without burning fuses. Not sure how but there is a thread somewhere on how to do so though I don't think it's necessary... I think it was 5.X.X the Gamecube adapter support was added so I'm not sure if it works on 4.1.0, might do?

Also, as far as I'm aware you could make a NAND backup with non legit games saves, etc on it and restore between the two as long as they're on the same firmware. I've not tried it but like why wouldn't it be possible. That's if you actually wanted to go online but I really think it's either play it legit, or don't go online at all.

Understood. 1 Last question because using Gamecube controller adapter is like number 1 priority to me.The Switch that I am gonna buy is at version 4.1.Is the anyway at all to update to version 5.x.x and not to the latest version 6.2?

I think the way to downgrade is restoring a NAND backup. If the fuses aren't burnt then you can downgrade. If the system is unhacked on 4.1.0 the fuses would be burned, therefore downgrading would be impossible.

Incorrect. As long as you have the patches from ReiNX/RajNX it can also play backups

You can install NSP if you have hekate+SDFiles, you don't need to install one of those weird theme based CFW.

But they don't allow you to run XCI, only SX allows that.

Wow and I was studying all day on switch hacking and I dont even know what hekate and SD files is. Is it CFW? And why do you say that is better than reinx? I am on 4.1

Um. you don't need to downgrade. I don't know why you would want to. Since your on 4.1 already you already screwed that chance. You can't downgrade to 4.1 because you burned 2 fuses. (3.0.2 burned a fuse. and so did 3.0)
And this is sd files btw (now called Kosmos.) but. It includes piracy patches (nsp only. Sx os is the only one that supports xci. But no biggy since xci converters.) Second off this does have some patches that block nintendo's telementry without having to use a dns. (stops the telementry service)

I never updated.My console was o. 4.1 on its already when I bought it , so what is SD files treaded ? Cfw?Also i thought that it needs 3.0 like atmlsphere. i cant understand why people are so crazy with 3.0

sd files is a cfw pack. that is updated along with atmosphere. And people are crazy about 3.0 because it has a giant software exploit. (allowing a exploit that isn't tethered) Also if you didn't update or not. It doesn't matter, as 4.1 requires a certain amount of fuses. Second issue. if your switch was bought from retail on 4.1. Atmosphere will run on any firmware except 6.2, there is a hoarded software exploit for booting atmosphere on 3.0 but the fusee gelee exploit can boot it on any device that was manufactured before Nintendo started patching them at the factory (they can't patch units once they left the factory).

It's a distribution of atmosphere and some other tools and patches.

You need to check the serial number, you might get lucky but nintendo have been supplying patched units to shops for months. If it's patched then you won't be playing pirated games.

There's no point being on firmware 4. Just update to latest firmware while on OFW. Don't update again when in CFW. You can update your games while on OFW too. Never go onilne with CFW. Got it?

I am Curently on 4.1. I want to play NSP installed games like smash and pokemon lets go with Reinx CFW.Am I able to play them on 4.1 though?And if not must I update to 6.2 to play them?Becasue I know that 6.2 kills the cfw

Wouldn't be able to play them on 4.1, but surely on 6.1, which you can update to without any problem.

I know I can use this to update to 6.1 without problem but from what I understand If i boot without rcm from then on, my fuses will get burned.Booting always into RCM seems really impossible. I am pretty sure that at some point I will fuck up and boot normally and then I will lose the ability to downgrade back to my 4.1 NAND backup.Am I right? Any suggestions ?

ChoiDujourNX enables AutoRCM by default, so you cannot boot into OFW at all accidentally.
I personally don't give a heck about fuses burnt.
