I downloaded guiformat to prepare a 128gb card but I don't know what to put as the allocation size.

I read somewhere that I had to enter 32 but 512 is the smallest number I can choose and it doubles all the way up to a max 65,536.

It also makes it an exFAT, if I'm not mistaken. Aren't I supposed to be getting a FAT32?

WTF? Stupid app keeps telling me the SD card is in use so can't be formatted. I've taken it out and put it back in again 3 times now! I even opened Task Master to check nothing else is in use.

No, the guiformat app has a MINIMUM allocation size of 512.

And WTF now? I suddenly only have 50gb?

I don't know what's happened but I had 128gb and it's gone DOWN to 50!!!

Edit: thank god! I used windows own quick format and the SD's gone back UP to 128gb (well, 116. I don't now why 12gb have been missing all along).

If you're having problems formatting it with guiformat, simply format it to NTFS and you'll be able to format it to fat 32 with guiformat afterwards.
