Hacking AceKard 2i or SuperCard DSONEi?

i just got a DSi and i was looking at a flashcard for it....

now i was about to buy the AK2i but my debit card expired......so i have to wait now....

but then SuperCard DS-ONEi came out!....

the USB updater is really tempting me..

but its GUI looks like hell!!..

but AK2i has a better GUI but no USB updater incase of a block by nintendo..which WiLL be Imminent soon..

SO my question still holds true...

right now... which DSi flashcard is the best to get?

buy a AK2i now?....or wait a couple of weeks and get longevity buy purchasing the SuperCard DSONEi with the USB updater??

I'd go with Supercard, even though the gui lacks a bit it has more features.

The USB "updater" is just a method of powering the cart. It doesn't do the flashing. There is no USB dongle for the Acekard but the kernel is apparently upgradeable via the DS. Acekard recently released a fix for the EUR language issue. You download the NDS file put it on your card and run it like a normal app.

DSone-i is the best out but I voted Acekard2 becuase I don't think anyone should have to put up with the aweful DSone gui for any longer, it's already been way way way long overdue for an upgrade.... and no long file names .savs is just SUPER retarded.

oh...and in the SUPERCARD-DSONEi announcement thread..someone said they contacted the supercard team about the GUI and they said they would address it

ok guys, i have spoken to the Supercard team and told them that some people are not happy they kept the same GUI, and it will be brought up when all the team are together again.

maybe the supercard team will fix their fuck up??

i really don't think the ds one gui will be updated any time soon. supercard stuck with the same plain text-list ui through their entire slot-2 line on both GBA and DS. although i didn't particularly mind that - it was fast, at least. it just seems to me like they have some good programmers but absolutely no idea how to made a decent UI.

for me i will go with AKAIO not ak2i

in my opinion, the reason many of us buy ak2i is because of AKAIO not because of how cool ak2i is (the official firmware fails like.......)

I already bought my Supercard I and is definitely my 2nd choice (based on fixes and especially the USB firmware flasher)

3rd is m3reali (based on fixes, i was impressed by they actually fix the 10sec delay bug and the disabled B code type)

last is cyclod, i would rank it higher if the product is not over price, don't tell me good team support (AKAIO is the best in the world), text viewer and RTS (supercard and m3 has it)! one thing i like about cyclo is the solid look of the interface and able to adjust backlight during gameplay! at least i know there are 2 games i can't play with cyclo (made in ore and famista 2009)

I'm sure you've been a a member here long enough to know to use the search.

As for the topic at hand, I would probably wait. I own an Acekard 2i and a Supercard DSOne. The former is great at what it does but is probably not enough to be considered because one DSi firmware update may warrant it obsolete. The later, which is what the new "i" version is based on, is horrible in so many ways that I just can't imagine myself upgrading just to get DSi compatibility.

my DS lite power switch phailed mysteriously (solder switch circuit thing snapped inside)..so now i have a R4 that i cant play on my DSi..so i really want to get a DSi Flashcard...and fast.

so...whats the verdict here guyz?
