Hacking Acekard 2i, ezflash 3in1

And these games will not save while flashed:

Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls
Balder's Gate: Dark Alliance

try those games using gba exploader. check to see if you can back-up/load saves with gba exploader. if yes, then the issue is with the akaio native flashing, and then you would have some bugs you can report to akaio.net.

QUOTEThose that do load, the same save does work when it is non flashed as well as when I flash something else and then reflash the game. So it just seems to be some do work and some don't.

i think that you are using the terms about flashing incorrectly. the 3in1 contains a psram section (16mb) and a nor section (32mb). when you write to psram you are flashing just as when you write to nor. the chip is being flashed with the updated information. psram is volatile and will delete itself once power is turned off, where nor will store its data indefinitely.

by saying non-flashed you are talking about clicking on the .gba rom and it almost instantly loads up? so this would be a game less than 16mb which is running off psram.
by flashed you are talking about clicking on a .gba rom and it is "flashing" to nor?

try setting the options to force to nor so that all games are written here. if you are having issues with nor this would be a great way to debug it.

can you verify the rom CRC values against a good set listing to make sure they are not corrupted in any way and are clean roms? after you do that i suggest you report them to akaio.net follow their guidelines (to avoid being warned or banned).

you might want to run both roms through gbata and see if they need any patching, header fixes, etc.

I think I'm just going to keep running them through the AKAIO loader instead of flashing them to the 3in1. I was just concerned at first that none would work. Now that I figured it is a minimal amount, I'm fine with it. Thank you for your help, though.
