Hacking Access to store without updating?

I am thinking of purchasing a switch and keeping it on the firmware that it is on (hopefully will be pretty low). In the meantime I would like to still access the store to download game demo's. Is there anyway I can set the dns before the switch thinks there is an update so that I can access the store, or is this linked together as in other handhelds.

Also initially registering I guess will attempt to check new firmware. Would the jig joycon port hack allow me temporary to bypass and spoof fw version number? (when running the homebrew enabler and a spoofing tool (if it exists)

As of right now, you can't access eShop without performing a System Update on your Nintendo Switch.

If you wait a little while longer, there will be an emuNAND solution released as a part of Atmosphère CFW. You will be able to use emuNAND to use the eShop and online play while keeping your system version low.

If you just can't wait, there's no real reason to stay on a low system version if you plan on using a physical device like a paperclip or a 3D-printed jig to enter RCM and use Fusée Gelée.
