I think the order of importance should be like this:
Languages > Download Play > Auto DLDI Patching.

Some pretty common languages like Portuguese and hmm... Russian should really be supported, maybe even detect DS' regional settings and work with that.

Since languages don't take long to code, they should really focus their power on Download Play, I think this is of utmost importance. (but it could also be a bad business move since alot of people buy several R4s for their friends for convenient multiplayer)

DLDI patcher on the other hand... The thing is included on the CD they ship R4 with, and its a simple drag n'drop application... They really shouldn't waste their time with this.

Now... those in-game menus like Real Time Brightness Change and Real Time Text Reader (22 days till E3

) would come in really handy if I do say so myself, but until it works just about flawlessly (like how in 1.09 everything works flawlessly) they should just keep it in beta testing.

I mean..it can be done with 2 clicks

how about homebrew developpers who want to try out their builds

I already save time in a huge way I guess then by adding a single line to my makefile and tossing the relevant dldi files in the path.. add 2 extra lines per every other dldi I want autopatched, as well as a line for any copies I want automagically sent to wirelessmultiboot or sd card.. still haven't figured out how to send it direct to emulators from msys though.

Good to hear that R4 is committed to their product being a class act still, I'm willing to bet some of this stuff was already planned anyway it is just cyclo forcing their hand before their next update is in the wild.

Well this is some damn exciting news. Just as I was beginning to wonder if I should make the jump to the Cyclo for download play reasons, the R4 has my spirits up.

i didnt want to quote cause it was getting too long, but that realy would be awesome for G-online integration. that way it could auto-display file names, release numbers...it would be nice.

I love the competition though! its great that they have the fighting spirit.

I am wishing for a rumble thing in the menu, just like the soft reset button....I also hope for an english only version just to keep it compact, but all in all, this is great news

Like making the "Cheats" button much smaller and in between the Brightness and Soft Reset icon, and allowing the game selection screen to be on the touch screen and stuff, like the CycloDS.

Oh well, its better to be content with what we have, so cheers for the R4 team!

Yea, I hope they switch the game selection screen with the info screen. Make the game selection screen scrollable with the style.

If this is all true, the only thing the CycloDS would have over the R4 is SDHC.

But then again, they could pull a marketing prank like the Wiikey developers. Can't trust no-one without sufficient information (aka: release)
