Good thing about all freemium games - you don't have to actually pay a cent. You can get a couple tries per day for free. Still, I get what you mean, it's ridiculously expensive..
I get what you're saying but it's like saying "good thing about stepping on a nail, it'l slowly heal". but yeah to me simple stuff like the badges is something that should've been given out for free. or getting badges with the games you buy would've been sweet too. or even better get badges from achievements from games you own! or all of the above.

but i still wish nintendo would stop this freemium game trend. at least nintendo's making a profit at last i guess :/

well i still think this game is a money grabbing scheme. but i did enjoy getting every single one on the practice machine (even if i didn't get any bonus ones) and then three badges from the actual machine from free plays. got enough to decorate my folders now :D

i'm really surprised people are actually happy about getting this game? the badge center has to be the most money hungry freemium nintendo game so far. 1 euro for 5 attempts to get a badge that's purely decorative. plus the cranes are semi rigged to fail too. i admit the badges look nice and it's fun to decorate your home menu. but its ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
The physics are much more fair than real life crane games, you have to admit. :p

Without paying I can get 2-3 free tries a day which is almost satisfying enough. Almost. (and ninty knows this lol)
I advise everyone to stay away from the 'bonus' themes though -- they suck. No music, sound effects, folder art, or animation. Total crap.

more fair yeah, but still not fair fair :p. also how do you get 2-3 tries each day? you can get literally every badge from the practice machine and still not get any free plays. you do get free plays every couple of practice badges collected but i'm sure that'l become less and less frequent. but yeah badges rock, just hate the "game" that they put them in :p

In NA they usually give you 1 free try right off the bat. then, depending on how you do with the practice crane game, 1-? extra tries. It may be possible to get more, but 2 tries (about 20 practice badges) is the best I can do.
I've heard the EU version is more stingy with free tries and you get less selection of badges. That sucks if true.

Yeah, I'm in EU, third day, more than 20 practice badges, only got the first extra free play. I guess this is "tailored to the regions' markets", just like only N3DS XLs for NA.

Lol, the Badge Arcade is shit. I pulled all of the badges out of the free practice crane, and I didn't even get extra pulls. Hell no I'm spending money on this. The rabbit is annoying as hell, asking me to buy pulls with read money every 5 seconds.

thr bonus themes can be downloaded from cdn with FunkyCIA with any theme ticket, so don't worry about them
