i mean, is it safe for the battery to keep the Switch inside the dock all the time, or it's being on charge ever and ever?
I don't want my Switch to explode

Seem safe to me, I leave it in when I'm not using it, with the game on or off. The dock exist for a reason, Lol :P

Dock = console mode
undock = portable mode
HYBRID ALL DAY BABY! :D

(I wish shield tablet had a dock like switch, that be nice, :( )

yes i know this, thanks, my only fear is that battery keeps being charged.

But if it stops and only rely from the power adapter so its ok :P

Well I mean if people still haven't found a way to make batteries safely rechargable, i lost faith in the technical electric industry. :P

Is 2017, we can't get good recharging battery systems? (Especially for cellphones) This lithium ion battery system seem like it was a big deal but is probably nothing much.

At this day and age, all charging circuits (at least in name-brand and high-end devices) have built in over current/voltage/capacity functions to prevent the battery and IC from being overloaded and/or fried.

Ok! I thought it kept charging :D like my macbook
Nah your macbook don't keep charging, no well designed battery powered devices keep charging otherwise they would explode
on top of that it isn't even physically posible to charge a charged batery more unless you put an higher voltage than it can wistand

that's a bit like air pressure, you can't fill a bottle that have more pressure inside with the ambiant air
unless you increase the ambiant pressure

Charging circuitry is intelligent enough. We dont really have so much of an issue with charge cycles either like we did back with the DS.

Looks like a generic Chinese device.

If the Switch's Dock had exploded, someone in US would sue the hell out of Nintendo. :rofl2: Nintendo purposefully made the Dock for the Switch work properly so it won't explode, don't worry.

Ok so I'll play without any worries while in the dock anymore!

The only worry you should have with that bugger is that it can scratch the Switch's screen which makes glass tempered screen protectors absolutely essential.

If Nintendo ever releases a V2 Dock I'll put the V1 on eBay.
