Homebrew A9LH factory reset

Hi guys,

So I'm going to trade in my N3DSXL that has Luma and A9LH installed via 3dsguide.

Obviously this means they will want to factory reset it.

Also it won't have an SD card.

I'm not that bothered about keeping the hacks on there but how would I go about resetting the thing to boot up without an SD card and looking as clean as possible?

system formatt (to Delink an NNID) + restore a untouched image w/o keeping A9LH (any CTR Transfer package will do. ). If you want to just leave it w/ A9LH as it's traded in depending how old this is behind updates, copy "arm9loaderhax.bin" to CTRNAND to boot w/o SD.

Upgrade it to b9s using the guide then you can remove cfw from the system no need to worry about it then

If you really want to factory reset it to stock OFW, I'd suggest updating a9lh to boot9strap, and then following the section to uninstall CFW altogether, as this is much cleaner than simply leaving a9lh installed.

Leaving a9lh on it is asking for trouble if the next person who uses it doesn't understand what they're doing. Then just format the console to unlink the NNID. After that the console will boot up on its own with no SD card needed.
