Gaming A way to have multiple save files?

So is the only way to have multiple save files on switch is to have multiple users? I mean Breath of the wild has only one save data, is like the first zelda game to have only one. Not sure why, is not like is pokemon, but I assume this is only for games that use only one save data like Zelda. Other games I have like Shovel Knight, Blaster Master Zero and Mighty Gunvolt Burst has more than one save file.

yeah, each save is tied to the user account. the same applies for the Wii U version.

All save 'slots' are for the same file, just at different moments in time

You just get one file per mode. So if you get the DLC, you'll at least have a second file for Master Mode. I suppose we should at least be happy about how quick and easy it is to add a second profile though, and how you don't have to go out of your way to switch profiles to play games.
