Hacking A neat idea with ARDS

Well, I've currently started playing emulators again, and when playing a Chrono Trigger hack and mentally complaining about the fact i don't have a usb gamepad, I glanced over at my DS and thought of something. Since ARDS is the only way I know of to directly link a DS to PC, would it be possible to write a hack or new firmware for Action Replay for the Ds to function as a gamepad?

uh... yeah, there is already a homebrew for that. It is called DS2KEY i think. I am too lazy to find a link, but i know its there.

Edit: wait, do you need a router? Because I don't have one and last time I tried using homebrew teh the shitty nintendo wifi connector, it didn't work.
