It really depends on what was installed and what wasn't. I would just use the link I gave you and try to salvage your console.

Assuming you were trying to downgrade to 9.2 I would try using a CN game and installing the 9.2 exploit on it and seeing if that boots homebrew

It really depends what was downgraded. Safest option is finding a game with a firmware higher than 9.6 and lower than 10.4 and updating with that game, that should fix your firmware.

I recommend getting Fire Emblem Fates. It'll update you to 10.3 which is still exploitable, plus it's a really great game.

Just know this might not be a fix. I don't know what the system checks to notify you if you're system is on a firmware too low, so for all we know, that was actually downgraded. Either way you still got a nice game though.

Theoretically yes, theres no telling 100% with a messed up firmware but since the firmware you tried to install is lower than 9.6, any game higher than 9.6 should require an update. Chances are you already own one and dont need to buy one.
