It really depends on what was installed and what wasn't. I would just use the link I gave you and try to salvage your console.and I cannot enter home brew at all anymore due to this firmware?

I formatted my Sd card and my 3ds system. will it still be able to finish the downgrade?Assuming you were trying to downgrade to 9.2 I would try using a CN game and installing the 9.2 exploit on it and seeing if that boots homebrew
It really depends what was downgraded. Safest option is finding a game with a firmware higher than 9.6 and lower than 10.4 and updating with that game, that should fix your firmware.I formatted my Sd card and my 3ds system. will it still be able to finish the downgrade?
I'm confused. how and where do I find a game like that?It really depends what was downgraded. Safest option is finding a game with a firmware higher than 9.6 and lower than 10.4 and updating with that game, that should fix your firmware.

so, to be clear. all I have to do is buy the game. and try and play it and it will try and make my 3ds update to that version?http://www.3dsdb.com This site tells what firmware is built into every 3ds cart, find a game you have or want and use it
Theoretically yes, theres no telling 100% with a messed up firmware but since the firmware you tried to install is lower than 9.6, any game higher than 9.6 should require an update. Chances are you already own one and dont need to buy one.so, to be clear. all I have to do is buy the game. and try and play it and it will try and make my 3ds update to that version?
