As a tech-savvy individual, I have always enjoyed modding/hacking my electronics. I have modified consoles before, but the last and only Nintendo console I have had before my 32gb deluxe set was a Nintendo 64, so bear with me here. Naturally, when I got my Wii U about half a year ago, I immediately wanted to mod it, but there weren't any methods that weren't risky or reputable at the time. With that being said, I can see that it is possible to mod the vWii mode on my Wii U, but I have a few questions that I haven't been able to answer myself;
1.) Is it doable to reverse the process if I want to resell/update?
2.) By modding it, can I do more than hook up usb controllers and play Wii games via SD?
3.) How close are devs to modding the Wii U itself so we can enjoy newer content?
4.) By modding, is Nintendo going to detect and insta-ban my Wii U/account from online content (netflix, browser, etc..)?
