never on latest because of a ban risk might be a few months after the next ofw come out (I think there is a 3-6 month nda or grace period after the next fw patched the exploit before it can be written up/ released) i'm just glad sony allows devs to release exploits unlike nintendo (Which is why SciresM told Nvidia not nintendo of fusee-gelee....smart move)

Hmm.. maybe I’m reading your comments wrong but do you assume there are full exploit chains lined up and every 3-6 months after that firmware has been superseded it is then released?

8.00 came out on October 14 2020, by your logic we should have an exploit for it by now (April 25th 2021). ...and 8.50 is mandatory...

The truth is: devs test potential CVE’s against FreeBSD relevant to PS4. If they find something (cough Sleirs cough) they test it out on FBSD and then adapt it for PS4. Every once in a blue moon we get prodigies like the flow or QWERTY, who set the scene on fire... it’s fluke really: immeasurable.

Currently there is no 8.0X Webkit, no userland and no kernel for retail machines in progress (of course I don’t know everything)...

...I just think that overall your post was sounding a little too optimistic...
