So IGN said sign ups for fw 6.00 beta started.
Any1 know how long between beta to retail? Has every fw gotten beta

Im nee to ps4 just got my pro a about 1.5 months ago. In no rush for 5.55 specific games but it would be cool to go online esp for games thst need internet to play fully and unlock stuff

It’s usually a few months iirc.

Not every fw gets a beta, it usually denotes a decent new feature and they need people to test it. Minor updates are for “stability” and don’t go into beta.

Best thing about beta is that you can roll back to your current FW if you hate it.

If i'm not mistaken, you can roll back. that means that we can go online for a while (Psn) and activate specific psn app right? Remote play...then roll back? just a thought.. As long as we clear all traces of HEN before doing so of course.

You can only go back to the latest retail firmware. Which would be 5.55 unless they release another one before the beta.
